Hybrid Golf Clubs

Don't overlook hybrid golf clubs when buying golf clubs or getting fitted at the PGA TOUR Superstore. A hybrid golf club, also known as a hybrid club or hybrid, is a cross between an iron golf club and a fairway wood. Sometimes hybrid golf clubs are referred to as rescue clubs or utility clubs because of their versatile nature and ability to get golfers out of tough situations. Using a hybrid golf club gives the player more loft than a fairway wood and more distance than an iron golf club. The high loft allows the ball to get into the air more easily than other longer clubs. Hybrid golf clubs are a great option for hitting low shots through the trees, in shallow sand traps, and on smooth fairways.

There are a variety of different types of hybrid clubs to choose from with varying degrees of loft. Popular golf hybrids are 3 hybrid, 4 hybrid, and 5 hybrid, but it is possible to purchase higher number hybrids based on your playing needs and preferences. Most hybrids will have between 18 and 27 degrees of loft.
